Water generously when the topsoil has dried out — until water runs from the drainage hole. Around once or twice a week is typical; adjust with indoor temperature and humidity.

It is a semi-shade plant that likes bright, well-ventilated spots with indirect light; in a very dark room the yellow edges can fade. If leaf tips dry or brown, mist the leaves to raise humidity and keep the plant out of direct sun.
