Keeping it healthy
Remember two things: bright indirect light and good airflow. Water generously when the topsoil has dried, until water runs from the drainage hole. In dry rooms, mist the leaves often — it restores their gloss and helps prevent pests such as scale insects.
Benjamins are sensitive to change: right after delivery, after a move, or when temperatures swing, some leaves may drop while the tree adjusts. Keep it in one spot and new shoots will soon follow.
A note on safety: the white sap released when leaves or stems are damaged contains latex and can irritate skin. Keep children and pets from handling it, and wear gloves when pruning.
