Booking Anniversary Flowers for a Partner Far Away
From picking the date and delivery address to the arrival photo: the steps to take when you're sending from a distance
From picking the date and delivery address to the arrival photo: the steps to take when you're sending from a distance
Your anniversary is coming up, you're not in Korea, and you don't know whether they'll be home that day. That's usually harder to sort out than choosing the flowers. Settle four things in order: the date, where the flowers go, the contact number and how you'll confirm delivery. Then there's less that can go wrong from far away.
Arrive in Bloom's cutoff for same-day delivery is 5 p.m. Korean time. Orders placed after that are delivered the next day, from 10 a.m. onward. If you're abroad, start by working out what time 5 p.m. in Korea is where you are.

In the US, 5 p.m. in Korea usually falls on the previous evening. In Europe it falls on the morning of the same day. If you wait until you wake up on your anniversary to order, the cutoff may already have passed.
It's safer to book a few days ahead and choose the delivery date. We take orders 24 hours a day, so you can order whenever suits you, whatever the time difference. Deliveries are made between 8 a.m. and 8 p.m.
Orders from abroad are priced in USD and paid through PayPal. You don't need a PayPal account. Bouquets start at USD 38 and flower baskets at USD 39.
If your anniversary falls on a weekday, your partner is more likely to be at work than at home. Flowers sent to their home during the day can end up waiting for half a day at the 경비실 (the apartment building's security office) or outside the door.
The simplest approach is to send them from the start to wherever your partner will actually be that day. Here's what to include in the order for each type of address.
| Delivery location | Best for | What to note on the order |
|---|---|---|
| Home | Anniversaries on a weekend or public holiday, or if they work from home | How to get through the building's main entrance, and where to leave the flowers if no one answers |
| Security office | Sending to their home address when no one is in during the day | A request to leave the flowers at the security office, and when your partner will pick them up |
| Workplace | Anniversaries on a weekday | Company name, floor and department, and whether the flowers can be received in the lobby |
Whichever you choose, add a one-line fallback to your delivery notes, such as "If no one is home, please leave with the security office." That way the driver knows what to do on the spot. If you're sending to a workplace, remember that your partner will have to carry the flowers home after work.
Flowers aren't a parcel that gets left at the door. When the driver arrives, they call the recipient to find them and hand the flowers over in person. So a recipient contact number is required, and it must be a Korean number.
The call will tell them flowers are on the way, but who sent them and why only comes across when they open the card. Decide in advance whether your name goes on the outside or only inside the card.
The card message works best short. Use a date or a nickname only the two of you know. One sentence is enough, such as "I couldn't be there, so the flowers are going first." For products with a ribbon, the message is hand-lettered for you.
Once the delivery is done, we send you a photo of the actual flowers, with no staging or retouching. If you're outside Korea, this photo confirms delivery and shows you the condition of the flowers. You'll know they arrived before your partner gets in touch.
Once you've settled the anniversary date and delivery address, go to the Arrive in Bloom order page and start by choosing your delivery date.
Orders placed by 5 p.m. Korean time are delivered the same day. Later orders are delivered the next day, from 10 a.m. onward. If you're abroad, it's safer to allow for the time difference and book ahead with a chosen delivery date.
The recipient's contact number must be a Korean number, because the driver calls it on arrival. If the recipient doesn't have one, give a Korean number that can reach them.
Orders from abroad are shown and charged in USD and paid through PayPal. You don't need a PayPal account. Bouquets start at USD 38 and flower baskets at USD 39.
