Congratulatory Wreaths for a Company Anniversary: Business-to-Business Etiquette

How to send an anniversary wreath or plant to a business partner, starting with whether a ceremony is being held
If you have been told to send a wreath for a business partner's founding anniversary but do not yet know whether they are holding a ceremony, make one phone call before you place the order.
When a three-tier wreath arrives at a company with no event, the recipient has nowhere to put it. The reverse is also a problem: if there is a ceremony but the wreath goes to the head office lobby, there is an empty spot at the venue.

Three questions to your contact are enough. Is a ceremony being held? If so, on what date and where? And which department receives the wreath?
The venue and the head office address differ more often than you might expect. If the ceremony takes place in a hotel banquet hall or a factory auditorium, the wreath goes there, and the recipient contact should be the event coordinator's mobile number so the driver can call at the right moment.
If there is no ceremony, an orchid or a 금전수 (Zamioculcas, often called the money tree) that stays in the office is a more natural choice than a wreath. A wreath in the lobby is cleared away as soon as the event ends, but a potted plant stays on display for months, and the sender's company name stays with it.
The right ribbon reads '축 창립 ○주년' (Congratulations on your ○th anniversary), and the left ribbon names the sender. Splitting the text into two lines and adding '무궁한 발전을 기원합니다' (Wishing you continued growth and prosperity) is sufficient for a company-to-company greeting.
The sender line follows the format 'Company name, CEO Full Name'. If it is sent under an individual employee's name, the partner will not read it as congratulations from the company. If your group has several affiliates, use the legal entity that actually does business with them.
Always double-check the anniversary number. Copy it exactly from the company history on their website or from the invitation, and if there is any doubt, ask your contact. A ribbon with the wrong number is the first thing people notice at the venue.
If there is a ceremony, time the delivery for the afternoon before or the morning of the event. For a morning ceremony, the day before is the safe choice. For an afternoon ceremony, same-day morning delivery still arrives in time for the venue to be set up.
Arrive in Bloom delivers the same day on orders placed by 5 p.m. Orders placed after that leave after 10 a.m. the next day. If you only remember the evening before, next-morning delivery timed to arrive on the day of the event is the realistic option.
| Situation | Recommendation | Why |
|---|---|---|
| Ceremony, delivered to the venue | Three-tier congratulatory wreath | Lined up at the venue entrance, the sending company is immediately visible |
| Ceremony, large-scale event | Four- or five-tier wreath | Size differences show when it stands beside other wreaths |
| No ceremony, outside the CEO's office | Western or Eastern orchid | A gift kept in the reception room for months |
| No ceremony, outside a working department | Zamioculcas (money tree) | Grows well in partial shade and needs little care |
When choosing a plant, the only thing to check is whether the recipient's office gets sunlight. Zamioculcas does not need frequent watering, which makes it a good fit for a busy department. Orchids should be sent with flower stalks already up so they look their best on the day they arrive.
Once delivery is complete, Arrive in Bloom sends you an unedited photo of the actual wreath in place at the venue. Check the ribbon text and placement, then pass on your congratulations to your partner. Anniversary wreaths and orchid plants are listed on the Arrive in Bloom congratulatory wreath page.
Instead of a wreath, a Western or Eastern orchid or a Zamioculcas (money tree) plant that stays in the office is the natural choice. A wreath is cleared away as soon as the event ends, but a potted plant keeps the sending company's name on display for months.

The afternoon before the ceremony or the morning of the event. For a morning ceremony, deliver the day before. For an afternoon ceremony, same-day morning delivery is safe. Arrive in Bloom delivers the same day on orders placed by 5 p.m.
Send it to the venue where the ceremony is held, and list the event coordinator's mobile number as the recipient contact. The driver has to call on arrival, so it must be a Korean phone number.
We handwrite your ribbon message for you and send an unedited photo of the actual arrangement once it is delivered. Orders placed before 5 p.m. are delivered the same day.
