You searched for the wedding hall's name to send a wreath, then hit a wall: there was no way to tell whether the venue would even accept it. Wedding hall wreath rules almost never appear on their websites. Most of them can only be confirmed by phone.
This post lists what to ask on that call. Wreath messages and etiquette are covered widely elsewhere, so they are not covered here.
The most common snag is the setup window. Wreaths cannot be placed in the lobby until the previous ceremony has finished, so many venues only allow them in starting 30 minutes before the ceremony. If the driver cannot arrive within that window, the wreath waits outside.
There are also limits on the number of wreaths. Some venues accept only a set number for both families combined, sized to the width of the lobby, and any beyond that may be sent back rather than stored. Unless the couple's side tells you in advance, the sender has no way of knowing.
Some wedding halls allow only their own wreaths. Citing a uniform look, they turn away anything not from their partner florist. Outside wreaths are refused at the door in that case, so this must be confirmed before ordering.
Removal timing is surprisingly easy to overlook. Once the ceremony ends, wreaths are cleared right away for the next one, and if no one has been assigned to take a wreath home, it is simply discarded.
If the lobby is small or the venue does not accept wreaths at all, a flower basket or potted plant is the alternative. Either can be placed on the reception desk or in the bride's waiting room, so space is less of a constraint, and the family can easily take it home after the ceremony.

When sending a flower basket or potted plant, the recipient's name and the ceremony hall name still need to go on the ribbon or card. Unlike a wreath that stands on its own, these gather on the reception desk, and without a label showing who it is for, they get mixed up.
Ask the items below in order and one call is enough. Ask to be connected to the person in charge of the specific hall rather than the venue's main line, and the answers will be accurate.
Write what you confirmed into the delivery note when you order. With the setup window, the hall name and the on-site contact's number, the driver will not be left searching the lobby.
