What to Actually Check in Florist Reviews
How to read the delivery times, locations and seller replies in reviews, not just the star rating
How to read the delivery times, locations and seller replies in reviews, not just the star rating
The star rating is close to perfect, but when you open the reviews, it's one line of “Received it, thanks” after another. You can't undo a 근조화환 (standing condolence wreath) or a congratulatory bouquet once it's sent, so it makes sense to wonder whether that number can be trusted.
Most star ratings are left by the person who placed the order, right after delivery. But that person often never sees the flowers. The recipient is far away, which is why they used a delivery service in the first place.

So five stars often means little more than “I was told it arrived without a problem.” The rating doesn't tell you what condition the flowers were in or whether the ribbon text was correct.
Detailed reviews, on the other hand, are useful on their own. When a review says what time the order was placed and when it arrived, which area it went to, and what the recipient said, you can see how the shop actually works.
Open the low-rated reviews too. The shop's reply underneath often tells you more than the complaint itself.
When you skim reviews, you only need to look for five things. The table below lists what to look for in each and the warning signs to watch out for.
| What to check | What to look for | Warning signs |
|---|---|---|
| Delivery time | Reviews that give both the order time and the arrival time | “It was late, but it was fine” comes up again and again |
| Photos vs. what arrived | Photos taken by the recipient, mentions of flower types or size | Only photos with the same angle and lighting as the product images |
| Handling of problems | Specific replies from the shop under complaints | No replies, or the same wording that looks copied and pasted |
| Delivery coverage | Reviews from the same city or county you're sending to | Only reviews from the Seoul metropolitan area |
| Ribbon and card typos | Mentions that the shop confirmed the wording before sending | Several reviews saying the text was wrong |
Look closely at the photos. If they have almost the same angle and lighting as the product page, they may have been taken in advance. The key question is whether the photo shows the actual arrangement, taken at the delivery location.
A ribbon typo may seem minor, but at a funeral hall there's no time to fix it. If reviews keep mentioning a misspelled character in a name, it's fair to question how carefully that shop checks its work.
Check the region separately as well. A shop whose reviews are all from Seoul isn't guaranteed to deliver the same quality to smaller towns in the provinces. Reading reviews from areas near your recipient gives you a more accurate picture.
Whatever the reviews leave unanswered, you can ask about directly. Checking three things by phone or chat is enough.
If a shop answers all three questions clearly and without hesitation, its reviews are likely to match what it actually delivers. If the answers are vague, that tells you something too.
For reference, Arrive in Bloom accepts same-day orders until 5 p.m. and delivers between 8 a.m. and 8 p.m. After delivery, we send you a photo of the actual arrangement, with no staging or editing, and ribbon messages are handwritten for you.
Please provide a Korean phone number for the recipient. The driver calls that number on arrival, so if the number is wrong, delivery will be delayed no matter how good a shop's reviews are.
You can check delivery areas and cutoff times on the Arrive in Bloom page first.
Star ratings are often left by the person who ordered after they've only been told the delivery went through. It's more reliable to also read detailed reviews that mention the delivery time, area and photos.
If it has the same angle and lighting as the product page, it may have been taken in advance. Check whether the background shows the delivery location.
5 p.m. (17:00). Orders placed after that are delivered after 10 a.m. the next day. Delivery hours are 8 a.m. to 8 p.m.
