Yellow-green variegated leaves whose poise and vigour only deepen with time — a steady favourite of plant styling.

The Bengal fig is prized for its vivid yellow-green leaf colouring. It makes a living room or office feel brighter and more refined — a long-standing bestseller in plant styling.

It adapts readily and resists pests, so it is very easy to look after. The more light it gets, the more vivid the yellow patterning becomes. Water deeply when the topsoil has dried, and wipe the leaves with a damp cloth from time to time — the gloss returns and the air-cleaning works better. It is somewhat sensitive to cold, so keep it in a warm room (13 °C or above) in winter.
