ZZ Plant (about 1 m)
Glossy, coin-round leaves on plump stems in a tall white pot — the classic gift for a new office, shop or home, and almost impossible to kill.
A plant that stands for luck, wealth and prosperity
The ZZ plant is a succulent-type foliage plant with thick, glossy leaves and plump stems. Its round leaves are said to look like coins, which is why in Korea it is called the money tree and carries the meaning of luck, wealth and prosperity — making it the most popular plant to send for an opening, a relocation or a housewarming.
At about 1 metre tall it is compact yet has real presence, and it is one of the easiest plants anyone can keep.
Four things a green plant gives a room
Cleaner air. Leaves and roots take in formaldehyde, benzene and other indoor pollutants, quietly freshening the space.
A warmer interior. A living green accent adds natural vitality and fits any decorating style.
Less stress. Simply looking at green plants lowers cortisol and brings a calmer mood.
Gentler humidity. Through transpiration, water drawn up by the roots is released through the leaves, raising indoor humidity by about 5–10%.
